Yu Masaoka Yu Masaoka (née Kitai) is a former employee of Nintendo Company Limited, having worked mainly in the development department during her time with the company. Masaoka is from Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. After graduating from Musashino Art University, she officially joined Nintendo in 2005, initially working as a graphic artist for the Software Planning & Development Division.
