Vanpool Inc. is a privately held company that specializes in video game development. The company was originally founded in 1999, and is located in Tokyo, Japan. The company's original staff is largely made up of former staff of the independent game developer Love-de-Lic. The company was originally hired to assist the development of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, where they developed some of the mini-games. From that point on, Nintendo and Vanpool developed a variety of games starring Tingle from The Legend of Zelda. While initially contracting work for both Nintendo and third party publishers, they have been first-party exclusive since 2009 for consoles and hand held development while still maintaining a smaller mobile development group.
