NOTES:

  • Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is a game centers on the everyday lives of Miis, customizable avatars, residing on an island as they autonomously develop relationships and solve problems, all overseen by the player.
  • Production on Living the Dream began in 2017, shortly after development concluded on Miitomo (2016). Director Ryutaro Takahashi and producer Yoshio Sakamoto became inspired to formulate a sequel to Tomodachi Life as they felt the Nintendo 3DS' technical limitations held back the game's scale.
  • The Miis' character designs were adjusted through trial-and-error; they were ultimately made more cartoonish, while their robotic voices from previous installments were retained to maintain their distinct personality.
