Biography Risa Sugimoto is a current employee of 1-UP Studio, having worked mainly in the development department during her time with the company. Sugimoto is a native resident of Japan. After graduating from her university program, she officially joined 1-UP Studio in 2014, initially working as a designer. Her first prize work was field art for Super Mario Odyssey. Employment 1-UP Studio Designer April 2014 – present
