NOTES: Nintendo DS Guide: Shin-Enoshima Aquarium was a free downloadable service provided through the Nintendo DS for use in the Shin-Enoshima Aquarium in Fujisawa, Japan. The service worked as an audio guide that provided information throughout various points in the aquarium. This service was part of Nintendo's "Nintendo DS In Public Spaces" which pushed for innovative uses of the DS in commercial and government facilities. This also had a connection to Nintendo's broader "Public Space Utilization Initiative" which involved Nintendo integrating their design ideas into non-gaming public sectors. Takao Sawano and the EAD Technology Development Group developed the technology powering the Audio Guide, and adapted it for this specific exhibit.
