EAD Tokyo teasing new game.

KH: At the moment, Super Mario 3D World, 100%.
YK: I can not disclose now, but soon we will make an announcement.

Koizumi's EAD Tokyo Group No. 2 is working on 3D World, but also on that 3DS Mario AR thing. So could it be possible that they're working on another game? Or is Koizumi teasing an announcement of the long-awaited game of EAD Tokyo 1? Seems kinda strange.

So Flipnote Studio was also developed by EAD Tokyo 2, are they also working on Flipnote Studio 3D? Then they would be developing three games at once and maybe a fourth they're going to announce soon. Isn't that just highly unlikely?

Well, I surely didn't expect a Free to Play version of Steel Diver. Is it safe to assume that EAD Kyoto 5 is responsible for that game? Because the IGN article states: "Miyamoto stressed that his team" Maybe that would explain the crazy delay of Wii Fit U.

It absolutely is the same EAD Group as the previous version. I also expect Nintendogs to go Free To Play as well from Konno's second team. Basically no new IPs from that section of Nintendo.

Tokyo is our only hope. Also, the other weird SPD Division teams.

Well, that's a bit sad. I'm curious to see what EAD 4 will develop next after they finish Pikmin 3 and New Super Luigi U. After all, Iwata said they only want do develop one NSMB per console… Also it seems that Katsuya Eguchi is at last toying with making Animal Crossing Free to Play - they finished work on AC:NL some months ago, so they should have already started development on a Wii U version.

That's actually a good point on Kimura's group. They kind of
spearheaded the Wii U with games and will have the later half of both hardware to maybe develop something different.

You should be aware that Katsuya Eguchi was promoted last Fall. He is now the head manager of all EAD Kyoto (and Tokyo). This was Takashi Tezukas position last. I think Hisashi Nogami is the new Group Manager and Producer of Kyoto Software Development No. 2.

Again. I'm expecting some big R&D changes to be formally announced later this year.

Yeah, let's see. I know that I'm surely starting to get annoying ;) , but what is your opinion on EAD Tokyo 1? In the last three years, they only co-produced some remakes, if I recall correctly. Isn't that quite strange? After EAD Tokyo splitted when Super Mario Galaxy was ready, Tokyo 1 really didn't develop any big game. Is there any sign of what they could be working on? After all, EAD Tokyo is one of the best video game developers that exists.
