Sooo i was wondering if anyone was aware of the staff or game differences between the three GameCube releases?
animal forest - japanese 64 version
animal crossing + japanese gamecube version
animal crossing american edition with some changes
animal crossing e+ japan only expansion pack
e+ have exclusive features not present in any other ac game, the ability to put furniture in the middle of the city, wake up toom nook after the store closed,a island that dont need a gba to work, exclusive characters/bugs.
No clue regarding differences in staff, but there are quite a few actual differences between the three games, but not much to warrant repurchasing the title. As far as I know Animal Forest + came out a few months after the Nintendo 64 version and contains Famicom games that weren't present in Animal Crossing or Animal Forest e+. The "Forbidden NES Games" that are so often mentioned in the community, including Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Ice Climber, are all readily available in Animal Forest + without the need for a hacking device (which is the only way to get them in the two other versions).
Beyond that, several locations were redesigned in Animal Crossing, new animals were added, new fish and insects, new items, and new music.
Animal Forest e+ actually features a different script from Animal Forest +. Apparently it's a translated version of the Treehouse's game.
Something awesome that is different between Animal Forest e+ and Animal Crossing is the ability to wake Tom Nook up after he closes and shop around. Apparently this can be done by banging on hid door with a shovel several times.
There's other differences and it's definitely something I would like to explore in an article some day. Animal Crossing is one of my favorite franchises.
I really want to see the 64 version credits.
In animal crossing wiki there's a massive list of the differences but i cant post links here yet.
I would imagine the only major difference between Animal Crossing 64 and Animal Crossing + are a few of the SRD programmers.
So,according to acwiki e+ have 82 new characters, most didn't appear in late games, looks like the definitive animal crossing game, retains the nes,games/good music from the original game but with exclusive features and much more content, sadly is not release outside japan.
