Masahiro Nitta leaves Nintendo (Nintendo EPD Programmer)

Masahiro Nitta confirmed on his twitter that he was the technical director of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. He was involved in everything from "development to release to operation".

Nitta worked at Nintendo for 23 years mainly as a programmer in EPD's technology department before leaving to become an independent mobile developer for a game titled Cave Explorer.

I sort of expected that. Speaking of Pocket Camp, has Kazuyoshi Sensui been up to anything lately? It wouldn't surprise me if he's potentially left too.
