Interestingly, Tsuyoshi Watanabe has been credited as artwork here and in SMB Wonder after so many years of being character supervisor on most Mario titles. I guess the Mario supervision team may have been shaken up now?

Observations on the Square Enix side:

Hiroyuki Miura, Shin Azuma and Masahito Wakimura were all previously involved with Mario Hoops 3-on-3 and Mario Sports Mix. Miura was the Square Enix-side producer on both titles; Azuma was the director of both; and Wakimura was Map Designer on Hoops, promoted to Lead Designer on Sports Mix. Azuma also has a notable credit on Itadaki Street DS as "Super Mario Character Graphic Supervisor". Difficult to see their involvement here as coincidental given their familiarity with the Mario IP.

Akane Iiboshi and Saori Ibe, on the other hand, have both worked on recent SaGa series remasters, though not the titles ArtePiazza have developed. They were both Project Managers on Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered last year, and Iiboshi was also a Project Manager on SaGa Frontier Remastered. Miura was the Producer of both titles as well, which may be why Iiboshi and Ibe are again in the same position under him. Not particularly relevant but may as well note the findings; Wakimura also had a recent role as Background Artist on a different SaGa project, Collection of SaGa; while Azuma appears to have been a bit of an absentee at Square Enix until this game, difficult to find tangible credits after the 3DS port of Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition in 2015.

Cattle Call programmed the game. This is why they're mentioned in the special thanks section.

All of the staff names for the programming unit are CC employees, going by the credits for past projects where it was explicitly mentioned the company was directly involved. (Kyota II is a name I haven't seen before, but I assume that's also where they're employed.)

Evidently they've been the programming team for many ArtePiazza projects for a pretty long time now (Dragon Quest remakes, Opoona, Romancing SaGa 2/3 remakes), but they sometimes take on this work in secret for whatever reason, hence the lack of any direct indication outside of special thanks for this game and some others.
