TEC Co., Ltd.
TEC Co., Ltd. (株式会社テック) was a joint venture of Nintendo and Intelligent Systems established in November 1987 that developed game software and development tools for Nintendo systems. Gunpei Yokoi, then head of Nintendo R&D1, originally proposed the creation of the company. TEC Co., Ltd was merged into Intelligent Systems in March 1997.
TEC is listed as an author on the US copyright registrations for most of the following games:
**TEC may only have been a tech group so their main duty is co-programming. Intelligent Systems (previously Iwasaki Electronics) was also once just a programmer for Nintendo but started hiring their own designers for 1990 and beyond games.
