February 2022 Direct Predictions

• Mario Kart 9 (or something related to Mario Kart)
• Release date for Splatoon 3 (this is from the show "Takamori's Most Wanted")
• Something related to BOTW2
• The Kirby game for March (I forgot the title)
• Mario Galaxy 3 or Mario Odyssey 2
• Mario Galaxy 2
• Metroid Prime Trilogy
• Pikmin 4
• Some third-party stuff. I don't know and I don't care.

Here's what I think:

• Mario Kart 9 - possibly? It'd be really cool if it does end up being true.
• I also believe that Splatoon 3's release date might be revealed (currently I predict it'll come out between May-July at least, or possibly August at latest)
• Breath of the Wild 2 might be revealed as being released at the very end of the year (November/December) or early 2023
• Kirby and the Forgotten Land will probably show more new stuff. I'm eagerly waiting for its release as given how it's exploring the open world game concept, the development team might be pretty sizable, maybe even bigger than Kirby Star Allies. Bonus points if they have the Japanese staff credits in kanji (which I believe should be the case unless they decide to have it in kana only like Rainbow Curse and Battle Royale, which I hope doesn't happen). Plus, they might reveal new Mario Club debuggers whose names we haven't gotten already.
• I hate to be a killjoy but I find the Mario related stuff to be fairly unlikely.
• Pikmin 4 would be awesome, perhaps it might see the return of Atsushi Miyagi?
• Same with the third party stuff. It's not important at all, so we can just ignore it.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Deluxe - Disappointment, not interested.
Splatoon 3 - Summer release date: I wanted a hard date. Disappointment.
Kirby - Indifferent, not interested
No BOTW 2 - Disappointment.

In general - Disappointment.

At least we got Nintendo Switch Sports, I thought after Wii Sports Club the Wii Sports series was effectively dead.
