In analyzing the post releases of the "Tomodachi team" after the success of Tomodachi Life / Tomodachi Collection 2, here are some findings:

2016 Miitomo and Miitopia both released on mobile and Nintendo 3DS respectively. While Miitomo had the lead dev(s), Miitopia had many other developers from Tomodachi on the staff.

Between Tomodachi Collection, Miitomo, Miitopia - it seems that the franchise may collectively take one amalgamated form in its next installment (Ring Fit Adventure style).

Ryutaro Takahashi, the project leader of Tomodachi/Miitomo has not been present in credits since 2016 - leading to believe he has been leading such project for a very long time.

Tomodachi Adventure (Tomodachi Life 2) will likely incorporate all the Tomo / Mii elements to create a larger scope game and potentially release near launch of the Switch 2 hardware.
