NOTES:

  • Developed by Nintendo R&D2.
  • Director is believed to be Kenji Miki, who directed most of R&D2 games outside of Shigeru Miyamoto.
  • Shigeru Miyamoto recalled that in 1983, he "personally really wanted there to be a Baseball game" for the Famicom, and was "directly in charge of the character design and the game design".
  • Uemura recalls the programmer would always work late into the night, night after night falling asleep at his desk. With the director frantically trying to keep him awake.
  • It was ported to the arcade as VS. Baseball in 1984.
