• October 17 - Nintendo Kyoto begins operations and is the 3rd Nintendo Store in Japan, 4th worldwide.

Game Releases

• February 8 - Metroid Prime Remastered is released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch.
• March 17 - Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch.
• April 20 - Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp is released in North America for the Nintendo Switch.
• May 12 - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch.
